2) GET ESTIMATES FROM TWO LENDERS- Learn what closing costs are and what different companies charge. Sometimes there are thousands of dollars in difference.

3) SAVE FOR A DOWN PAYMENT- Don't buy something you can't afford. Save a minimum of 3.5% for your down payment. Zero down home loans are terrible products designed to keep you in the poor house.
